How to distinguish disposable masks

Firstly, let's categorize the types of commonly used masks. Non woven Zhibu masks can be divided into three types, and each style is used in different places.

The first type is a two-layer mask. Generally, two-layer masks are mainly used in food processing plants. There is no filter melt blown cloth in the middle, but two non-woven fabrics are sewn together. Its main function is to prevent substances in the mouth from entering the food, such as saliva, mucus, and cold. Its weight is generally around 45G.

The second type is a three-layer mask, with a filter melt blown cloth in its interlayer, suitable for use in medical structures, outdoor, dust factories, and other places. It consists of a double-layer non-woven fabric and a middle layer of filter melt blown fabric, which should be mentioned here.

The third type is a disposable four layer activated carbon mask, which adds an additional layer of activated carbon paper on top of the original three layer non-woven filter paper, better enhancing the ability to filter dust bacteria. That is the gray and black mask that everyone sees. However, wearing a three layer mask outdoors is usually sufficient, and wearing a four layer mask is also completely acceptable.
